Manual Turner/CNC Operative

We are seeking a skilled Manual/CNC Turner to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that precision and quality are maintained throughout the machining process. As a Manual/CNC Turner, you will be responsible for working a 3-metre lathe. Operating and programming CNC turning machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. Mazatrol & Fanuc programming is advantageous. Training can be provided for this if required.

Duties

  • Have a experience of Manual Lathe Turning.
  • Operate CNC turning machines to manufacture parts with precision and accuracy.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
  • Set up tooling and fixtures for production runs, ensuring proper alignment and calibration.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machined components to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements in the production process.
  • Utilise hand tools and basic maths skills for measuring and adjusting components as needed.
  • Engage in materials handling and warehouse activities as required.

Experience
The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Proficiency in operating Manual/CNC turning machines, with experience in programming being advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly in tooling and fabrication processes.
  • A background in materials handling within a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply logical reasoning in a manufacturing context.
  • A commitment to maintaining high safety standards while working in a production environment.

Laser Operator

Pay: £14.50-£15.50 per hour

We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to fabricate components, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various materials including Mild Steel; Aluminium, Stainless, Baron & Hardox. From 0.9mm to 25mm

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain Mazak Fiber laser cutting machines for the fabrication & Agriculture parts.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Utilise hand tools and machinery for grinding and finishing processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise production efficiency and resolve any operational issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Experience

  • Proven experience in operating laser cutting machines or similar equipment is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand tooling and fabrication processes.
  • Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
  • Experience working with sheet metal is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly, welding, and grinding tasks is essential.
  • FLT Counter Balance licence is preferable.

CNC Operator/Setter

We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality components while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set & Operate CNC machines, ensuring precise fabrication of components according to specifications.
  • Set up tooling and fixtures for machining operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Perform basic maths calculations for measurements and adjustments.
  • Experience with Mazntrol preferred but not esencial.
  • Fabricate parts from various materials, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment, maintaining an organised workspace.
  • Utilise CAD software for programming and modifying CNC operations as needed.
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance checks and troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Manufacturing from 1 off’s & batch work.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator or similar role in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with tooling, milling, and fabrication processes is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of CAD software for programming CNC machines is desirable.
